This is the genesis of Cult Metamorphosis program of FIITJEE in its constant quest for knowledge and wisdom.  The term metamorphosismeans the process of transformation from an immature form to an adult form in two or more distinct stages.It refers to a change in the form and often habits of an animal during normal development after the embryonic stage. Metamorphosis includes, in insects, the transformation of a maggot into an adult fly and a caterpillar into a butterfly and, in amphibians the changing of a tadpole into a frog. 

We adopted this term and associated it with our training methodology as we nurture students who are immature and ready for grooming. We help them develop their skills and abilities step by step by a high degree of hand-holding and make them take one step at a time.  In this way the students eventually grow from a nascent state to a mature position adapting our training methodologies. During this process the students might encounter a number of hurdles. They falter but steady themselves to try hard to crack the tough shell of ignorance. Thus under the guidance and support of the erudite teachers of FIITJEE, they emerge as fully fledged knowledgeable adults to face the competitive world with cheerful confidence.

Further, the term cult means a system of religious veneration and devotion directed towards a particular figure or object. This term is associated to our training methodology as having all the direction of focus towards the same goal or aim so that the reward that the students receive is at the fullest.

Cult Metamorphosis, therefore, is our unique and tried-and-trusted training methodology to groom immature and innocent students to outperform in competitive world through step by step improvements. Cult metamorphosis also focuses side by side on the technical part of this methodology. As per the program structure, FIITJEE trainers will provide students assignments for practice at home via an e-Notebook. Using this state-of-the-art technology, FIITJEE trainers can easily monitor completeness and correctness of students’ attempts in the given e-Assignments, an integral part of our Cult Metamorphosis training Methodology.

To help students get top ranks in IITJEE without compromising on one’s outlook, personality and overall skill-building, we envisaged this project to advance our academic delivery to make it possible for students to get a rank in IITJEE with ease. Quite appropriately this project has been named Cult Metamorphosis. As this project laid the foundation of step-by-step and sequential learning for IITJEE for students overall, its outcome is extremely encouraging. While over 350 students cracked IITJEE in 2016, this count rose to 517 in 2017 and to around 900 in top 10,000 ranks in 2018. The figures are only from Chennai Region. Not only the count, but also the overall ranking of the students improved significantly in 2018. Our national results in 2018 include 3826 selections from all programs. Maintaining our pace in the project Cult Metamorphosis for those who aspire for a top rank in IITJEE, we are taking another step for more personalized and Goal-oriented training. In order to ensure success, we have associated with various platforms to help students climb up the ladder to achieve their goals. MyPAT is one such platform which provides a number of online test series for the students. With the advancement of technology, Companies like Samsung, Lenovo, Google, Apple, etc. have come up with many gadgets capable of providing computing capabilities in hand. One such device called “Tablet Computer” is an extremely handy computing device. It comes in various sizes starting from 7 inch and going perhaps up to 13 or 14 inch; however, our research team found that a device between 10 and 11 inch is handy and is enough for students and education community. Keeping the pricing, economy and other factors in mind, myPAT is working on Tablets based on Android OS developed by Google as well as Tablets by Samsung and Lenovo. Thus our students have been advised to arrange a Samsung / Lenovo Tab with minimum 10 inch screen and 4G networking through a SIM card. We all know that internet is full of Good things and Bad things and we can’t leave it to our students to decide what is good for them and what is not. FIITJEE’s Cult Metamorphosis training methodology uses myPAT Tab and myPAT applications running on this Tab as a power to deliver best academic upliftment to students.

If a student has a very clear goal to pursue Engineering, then the next step would be to ponder on how to prepare for the competitive exams and how to reach the goal. Admissions in IITs and NITs are done through a combined test called JEE Main (stage 1 and for NITs) and JEE Advanced (Stage 2 and for IITs). Approx. 15 Lakh students write these exams every year and depending upon the respective goals students have to plan their preparation.

Goal Setting App:

This is an important App that enables the students to set their goals before they start their journey to success in a stress free way. The students can fix their goals in order to achieve them and the training for them will be based on the goals respectively chosen by them. It is important to note that the goals and ambitions cannot be controlled, but we are here to guide and support the students in order to help them achieve their goals. The students will set up goals by taking up an aptitude test. Cult Metamorphosis – Our Unique and Time tested Training Methodology

Our unique and time-tested methodology revolves around the following steps in order to accomplish success. It is made clear to all students that every step in this process is very important and the students are attuned to total compliance of the same. 

At FIITJEE learning is teacher driven. We strongly believe in the traditional method of classroom teaching with chalk and blackboard. In this way it is ensured that the classes are made lively and interactive and also taken at a pace where the students are able to follow and understand the concepts. We are the only institute in India to have more than 2400 Trained and Certified Teachers. We recruit a Faculty Member after an elaborate scientific test and also through a rigorous recruitment process. The training for the faculty members is also done in such a way that they are completely ready to face the students. Every selected teacher undergoes training for minimum of 100 days, irrespective of age and experience of the person, to align the teachers with FIITJEE’s belief system and also to condition the teachers to take the future of every child seriously.

The process includes learning every topic and every conceptin depthmarked bythoroughness;a systematic study material is also given to students in order to equip them with additional learning; and the systematic study material covers Complete Theory of Each topic, illustrations on applications of Topics, Exercises (5-6 questions) to Practice as a follow up, Solved Problems in all concepts and previous year questions asked in related competitive exams.  Therefore, the students don’t have to skip any questions asked even if they are from every nook and cranny of any chapter.

MyPAT – Gold Apps

The application is basically designed to make it easier for the students and parents to access everything that’s related to digital learning. The main objective is to save time and store abundant data for future accessibility just by a click. The advanced applications used in the software focus mainly on the development of the students in a step by step process towards achieving great success. 

GOLD (Goal Oriented Learning and Development) Application

• Gold refers to Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics applications for homework assignments, which enables the students to do homework under controlled manner.
• We use the similar interface as used in the JEE advanced exams which makes it easier for the students to get accustomed to the format, and gives sample practice.
• There are three different levels : each level has 2 different assignments named as beginner and scholar level. Total of six assignments from board level to JEE Advanced level are given.
• If you open the application for the very first time you need to connect the tablet with the internet, so the home page of the application will download. Once downloaded then for the next 7 days internet is not required.
• In the Home screen of the application you will see a clock on left-hand side which will show the CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of the particular assignment.
• Under that you will see topic by topic assignments. Once you open the assignments for the first time you will see that all the assignments are in black color which means all the assignments are locked, which needs to be unlocked the by the teacher. Once the teacher opens the assignments, the color of the assignments changes from black to grey.
• Further as you move on, the color of these buttons will change from White to Red, Yellow and Green with intensity indicators to your level of understanding and readiness. E.g. If the Button Color is orange, that indicates not so good level of understanding and green illustrates almost full understanding.
• Random Assignments Tests (RAT) are conducted to validate student’s understanding level. 

 

Tests are conducted as periodic tests and All India Tests. Periodic tests are conducted locally in the form of chap tests and phase tests, mid phase tests, class quizzes and parents Monitored Tests (On TAB). Apart from these tests All India level tests are also conducted every year at national level. All India Internal Test Series are periodical. All India Phase tests are for the Students to gauge their preparation at National Level. FIITJEE’s all India Test series are so popular that not even a single student who is serious about getting a seat in IIT takes any chances of missing them. With its pan-India Base, FIITJEE is the only institute in the country that can conduct a test at a National Level.

The GOLD application used for conducting tests is very easy to use as it has all the instructions clearly mentioned in each screen which is easily understandable. One very important feature of the GOLD app is that the test taken on tabs is a replica of the real JEE Mains or Advanced tests.

Once the assignments are opened there are clear-cut information for students to proceed with the tests likesave and Next option, clear option, get the questions reviewed option, submit and exit test options as shown below.

Once the test is submitted it leads the student to the test analysis report page.

Online Test App

This App enables the students to have access to online tests. This app makes it easier for the students to appear for All India Test series and gives the experience of attending tests similar to various other competitive tests. 

FIITJEE is the First Institute in the country to introduce Test analysis. In a systematic manner each test is followed by a Test analysis session in which all the mistakes committed are categorized and preventive measures to improve are given to students. Test analysis is one of the very successful methods followed by FIITJEE which has increased success rates to a greater level. Through this tool the students easily come to know of their strengths and weaknesses and the areas in which they are prone to make mistakes and also on how to rectify errors the next time when they take up the test.

1. Upcoming tests

Usually most of the students worry about getting a good grade or simply making time to study if there is more than one upcoming test. Test stress doesn’t just affect struggling students; even high-achievers usually experience a lot of stress about doing well on tests. As such, students aspiring to get a good rank in IITJEE have to pass probably the most coveted and probably the toughest test across the world.

In FIITJEE we train our students so that they take every FIITJEE test like a final IITJEE Test so the Final IITJEE test will seem to be another FIITJEE Test. We don’t prepare our students for exam, rather create an environment where test is just a part of life and there is nothing unusual about it. In fact, getting less score is no sin but an opportunity to learn.

2. Too much homework

When your child is overwhelmed or frustrated by homework, it makes it harder for him or her to complete assignments. This can cause a stressful cycle where homework piles up and your child doesn’t have the time or energy to complete it, allnleading to even more stress.

In FIITJEE we link Homework and assignments to the Goal and RPI (rank potential index*) of the student. A student is given only as much homework as he / she can complete and in line with the goal setting.

3. Lack of organization

Students with poor organizational skills tend to experience more stress in school. This is usually because they aren’t properly prepared with the tools or the understanding needed to learn. If their organization skills don’t improve, they may continue to fall behind, leading to more stress and frustration about school/preparation.

4. Too little “down time”

• Join our 2 Year/3 Year or 4 Year Classroom or Integrated Program and sign a Guarantee contract with us.  
• Make sure that you attend all classes (barring a few instances of exigency like illness, etc. up to a maximum of 5% and with the written permission of Program Coordinator).
• Make sure that you complete all the homework and assignments on time, given by teachers and head teachers which in general can be solved by an average student in 4-5 hours per day on an average (including holidays). The assignments include a printed study material with practice problems, Archives of last 25 years of questions from JEE Advanced and Main and 6 graded assignments (Board Beginner and Scholar, JEE Main Beginner and Scholar and JEE Advanced Beginner and Scholar)
• ·        Parents have to come for a Quarterly PTM where the status of Homework completion and performance will be briefed by a support teacher. They have to sign this report every quarter.
• ·        Students can request extra support classes if he / she fails to understand a concept but it is expected that the student is able to solve at least 90% of the questions discussed in the class / Doubt removing sessions whenever asked on a random basis without any revision or at least 95% with a quick revision.
